BarkSkip is live on Safari for Mac

BarkSkip for Safari on Mac is now available on the Mac App Store — free to install, same mission as Chrome: warn you before mapped dog triggers on Netflix, then skip them so movie night with a reactive pup is less of a remote-juggling workout.

Why Safari mattered

A lot of Mac households live in Safari. Asking everyone to switch browsers just to reclaim the couch wasn’t good enough.

So we built BarkSkip as a Safari Web Extension wrapped in a small Mac App Store app. You install once from Apple, open the BarkSkip app, turn the extension on in Safari Settings, and you’re on Netflix the same way Chrome users already are.

Same catalog. Same free five titles. Same “put down the remote” idea — now on the browser many of you already use.

How to get started (about two minutes)

  1. Install BarkSkip from the Mac App Store (free).

  2. Open the BarkSkip app once so Safari can see the extension.

  3. Go to Safari → Settings → Extensions and turn BarkSkip On.

  4. Open Netflix in Safari, open the BarkSkip popup, turn Extension Power on, and pick a supported title.

Free tier movies today: Aloha, Click, Enola Holmes, Enola Holmes 2, and And So It Goes. (Free titles subject to change based on Netflix availability)

Want the big screen? Play Netflix on your Mac and use HDMI or screen mirroring — BarkSkip runs on the computer, not in the Netflix TV app.

Already have a key from Chrome? Paste it in Safari. Already bought on Apple? Use Restore Purchases or activate the key BarkSkip mints for you. You don’t need to buy twice.
