Terms of Sale & Refund Policy

These Terms of Sale (“Terms”) govern purchases of BarkSkip Pro from BarkSkip LLC (“BarkSkip,” “we,” “us,” “our”) through our website and Stripe checkout. By completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

BarkSkip LLC is the seller. Google and Stripe are not the sellers of BarkSkip Pro. Google does not process payment for BarkSkip Pro. Stripe processes payment on our behalf.

1. What you are buying

BarkSkip Pro is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that includes:

  • A personal license key for the BarkSkip Chrome extension

  • Lifetime access to our full hosted trigger catalog (skip/warn timestamps and updates for supported Netflix titles), for the licensed account, subject to these Terms

The BarkSkip Chrome extension remains free to install from the Chrome Web Store. Five supported titles are available on the free tier without purchase. BarkSkip Pro unlocks the full catalog of supported titles.

List price: $15.00 USD, plus applicable sales tax where required. Tax is calculated at checkout (exclusive pricing — tax is added to the listed price where we are registered to collect it).

Prices may increase for future buyers. If you already purchased BarkSkip Pro, your license remains valid at no extra charge for catalog access as described at the time of purchase.

2. What BarkSkip is (and is not)

BarkSkip helps dog owners skip or get warned about certain animal and noise triggers during Netflix playback on supported titles. It is a convenience tool, not veterinary, medical, or behavioral advice. Results depend on your dog, your setup, and Netflix availability of titles.

BarkSkip is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Netflix, Google, or Stripe.

Requirements: Desktop/laptop Chrome browser, a Netflix account, and titles in our supported catalog. BarkSkip does not guarantee every trigger will be caught or that every Netflix title is supported.

3. How fulfillment works

  1. You pay through Stripe Checkout (Payment Link) on barkskip.com or a link from the extension.

  2. After successful payment, we create your license and email your license key to the address you provide at checkout.

  3. In the BarkSkip extension popup, paste your key and tap Activate.

  4. The extension validates your key with our servers and enables the full catalog.

Delivery is electronic and immediate once payment succeeds. Check spam/junk if you do not see the email within a few minutes. Contact info@barkskip.com with your checkout email if you need help.

4. License terms

  • Personal use. One license key is for one household / one purchaser, not for resale or public redistribution.

  • Device limit. A license may be activated on up to three (3) devices (e.g., your laptop and a second computer). Contact us if you need a reset after replacing hardware.

  • Non-transferable. Do not share or sell your key. We may revoke a license for fraud, chargebacks, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

  • Hosted catalog. “Lifetime” means access to the full catalog and updates we provide for supported titles for as long as we operate BarkSkip Pro, not forever if we discontinue the service. If we wind down the product, we will use reasonable efforts to give active license holders advance notice.

  • Free tier unchanged. Uninstalling or not purchasing Pro does not remove access to the free tier titles.

5. Refund policy

We want you to try the free tier before buying. Because BarkSkip Pro is digital goods delivered immediately, refunds are limited as follows:

Eligible for a full refund (contact us within 14 days of purchase):

  • You have not successfully activated your license key, or‍ ‍

  • BarkSkip Pro does not work for you due to a technical issue on our side, and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time (typically 7 business days) after you contact support with your checkout email and a description of the problem.

Not eligible for a refund:

  • More than 14 days after purchase

  • After you have activated the license and used the full catalog, except where required by law or we failed to fix a material defect as described above

  • Change of mind after activation

  • Issues caused by Netflix, your browser, network, or unsupported titles

  • Violation of these Terms or license abuse

How to request a refund: Email info@barkskip.com from your checkout email with your name, purchase date, and reason. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method via Stripe. Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement. If a refund is issued, we will revoke the associated license key.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory refund rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Marketing communications

At checkout or on our website, you may optionally opt in to marketing emails (product updates, news). Opt-in is not required to purchase BarkSkip Pro. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

7. Payment, taxes, and receipts

  • Payment processor: Stripe, Inc.

  • Payment methods: Checkout is hosted by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards and, where your browser and device support them, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Stripe may show only methods eligible for your location and currency.

  • Currency: USD unless otherwise shown at checkout.

  • Taxes: Collected automatically where we are registered and required to do so. Your receipt reflects subtotal, tax, and total.

  • Chargebacks: If you dispute a charge with your bank without contacting us first, we may suspend or revoke your license while the dispute is investigated.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information from the extension, checkout, and license validation.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

BarkSkip Pro and the extension are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BarkSkip LLC’s total liability for any claim arising from your purchase or use of BarkSkip Pro shall not exceed the amount you paid for BarkSkip Pro in the twelve (12) months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes apply to new purchases after posting. Existing paid licenses remain subject to the Terms in effect at purchase, except where law requires otherwise.

12. Governing law, disputes, and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence apply.

For any dispute that is not resolved informally with us, you and BarkSkip agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

The address below is BarkSkip LLC’s registered business address for legal notices and correspondence. It is not a retail storefront.
