Cookie Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BarkSkip LLC ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at www.barkskip.com ("Website"). It covers what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal when we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners use them to make their websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by BarkSkip LLC, or by our site host Squarespace on our domain, are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by anyone else are called third-party cookies. On this site, third-party cookies and storage are limited to Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA.

Why do we use cookies?

We use cookies only to run barkskip.com, keep it secure, remember your cookie choices, and understand basic site performance. We do not use advertising cookies, build advertising profiles, or track you across other companies' sites. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Essential cookies are required for the site to work, including form security, spam protection, and saving your cookie choices. You cannot turn them off. Functionality and analytics cookies remember your preferences and help us see how pages are used. You can reject those through our cookie banner or in your browser.

The BarkSkip browser extension does not set these cookies. It does not track you outside Netflix watch pages.

How can I control cookies?

Our cookie banner is provided by our website host, Squarespace. When you first visit, you can select "Accept all," "Decline all," or "Cookie Preferences" to choose which categories you allow. Essential cookies cannot be rejected because the Website needs them to work. Your choice is saved for about 30 days, after which we'll ask again.

You can change your choices at any time through the cookie preferences link on our Website. If you reject cookies, you can still use the Website. You can also set your web browser to accept or refuse cookies.

Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics stores no cookies on your device. It may still send limited, cookieless signals that tell Google a page was viewed without consent. We use these only in aggregate.

How can I control cookies on my browser?

Each browser handles cookie controls differently, so check your browser's help pages:

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

We may sometimes use similar technologies, like web beacons (also called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that let us recognize when someone has visited our Website or opened one of our emails. For example, they help us see how visitors move between pages, understand whether you came from one of our ads on another site, and measure how well our emails work. Many of these technologies rely on cookies, so declining cookies will affect how they work.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use change, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
