Meet Gus: Why I Built "Parental Controls" for Dogs
This right here? This is Gus, and he’s the reason why I built BarkSkip.
Imagine this level of intensity, or worse, every time an animal appears, a doorbell rings, a baby cries, or a siren wails on screen. Movie nights turn into doggy chaos, and you spend the entire time hovering over the remote, stressed out before the trigger even happens.
I set out to build a solution so we could finally put the remote down. I wanted our dogs to stay calm, which meant we humans could finally relax, too.
Owners of reactive, TV-watching dogs get it immediately. These kinds of trigger controls shouldn't be an afterthought. They should be standard on every streaming platform, right next to the parental controls.
Until they are, don’t worry. BarkSkip’s got you.
We currently support Netflix via our Apple Safari and Google Chrome extensions. You can install it for free, test it on five of our flagship movies, and finally put the remote down.
